Ferring Group donates US$ 3 million to Royal Textile Academy

August 3: The chairman of the Ferring Group, based in Switzerland donated US$ 3 million to the Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan on July 31.
The cheque was handed over by the Chairman, Dr Frederik Paulsen to Her Majesty the Queen Mother Ashi Sangay Choden Wangchuck in Switzerland.
Her Majesty the Queen mother is currently in Germany for the opening of the Fohr museum.
The academy will act as a focal point for both education and a variety of cultural events. It will include a new sate of the art museum, a textile weaving academy and a conservation centre.
